Avonworth personnel

A number of personnel matters were approved by the Avonworth School Board at their Thursday, July 26, meeting.

Tommie Murray was hired as the assistant elementary school principal commencing Aug. 1, pending release from her current district, at a salary of $75,000 with benefits.

Ashley Randall was hired as a temporary professional employee with an assignment as a first grade teacher. Kathy Reichart was named Randall’s mentor for the school year.

Meghan Kelly was hired as a professional employee with an assignment as a second grade teacher commencing Aug. 17.

Lucille Negron was hired as a temporary professional employee with an assignment as a high school learning support teacher commencing Aug. 17.

The board pproved Hannah Fassler as a temporary professional employee with an assignment as a sixth grade math teacher. Melissa Constantino was named as her mentor.

Brittney Livesay will work as a long term substitute high school science teacher from Aug. 17 through June 7, 2019.

The board approved pay for three days of summer hours for Katy Tarasi to allow for literacy coach preparation and program implementation for the new school year.

Supplemental contracts were awarded to:

Kevin Dexter as a volunteer assistant varsity boys’ soccer coach for the 2018-19 school year.

Catherine Potter as assistant middle school girls’ soccer coach for the 2018-19 school year.

Megan Sudsina as J.V. cheerleading coach for the 2018-19 school year.

Allison Long as the marching band woodwind instructor for the 2018-19 school year.

Michael Dorato as the marching band brass instructor for the 2018-19 school year.
