On Jan. 22, a four-vehicle traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Ohio River Boulevard and Fisk Avenue in Avalon. As the result of an investigation into the cause of the accident, Catherine Nicholas, 75, of Avalon, was cited for careless driving. Police say all vehicles had to be towed and three people sustained injuries.

Following a traffic stop on Feb. 7, John D. Keller Jr., 48, of Bellevue, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

On Feb. 7, Latosha Craig, 35, of McKees Rocks, was cited for harassment by communication.

A resident of South Home Avenue reported the theft of laundry from a dryer in the apartment building on Feb. 8.

A three-vehicle accident occurred on Ohio River Boulevard on Feb. 8. Police say two passengers were transported to the hospital for neck and back pain and each vehicle involved suffered light damage.

Following a traffic stop on Feb. 10, Ida Board, 39, of Beaver Falls, was arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

On Feb. 13, an Avalon resident reported a check stolen from his residence.

Following a traffic stop on Feb. 13, Gregory Winslow, 54, of Somerset, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Joshua Roberts, 19, of Avalon, was arrested on Feb. 14 on a warrant.

On Feb. 16, Avalon officers assisted Bellevue officers on a traffic stop, and Alexander J. Neff, 23, of Troy Hill, had a bench warrant for failure to appear in court following an arrest in Avalon. He was taken to Allegheny County Jail.

A hit and run accident on Chester Avenue was reported on Feb. 16.

Following a traffic stop on Feb. 17, Lyric Woods, 22, of McKees Rocks, was arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

On Feb. 17, Avalon Police officers were dispatched to assist the Port Authority with an intoxicated person passed out on the bus. Bryan Thompson, 50, of Arnold, was arrested for terroristic threats.

A resident of Avalon came to the Avalon Police station on Feb. 18 to report the theft of his credit card.

After a traffic stop on Feb. 20, Andrew Carswell, 27, of McKees Rocks, was arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
