A motor vehicle accident occurred on Taylor Avenue on Sept. 18. A second motor vehicle accident occurred the same day at the intersection of Elizabeth Avenue and Ohio River Boulevard. Avalon Police say that no one was injured in either accident.

On Sept. 18, Allegheny County Police homicide officers took over the investigation of the murder of Emmanuel Boneza.

On Sept. 19, Dale Boris was arrested for outstanding warrants out of Washington County.

A New Brighton Road resident reported on Sept. 19 that money and a wallet were taken from a bedroom drawer.

Anthony Bowra, 23, of Avalon, was arrested on Sept. 20 for two felony warrants through the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office.

On Sept. 20, following a welfare check and a foot pursuit, Richard Russell, 21, of Avalon, was arrested for forced entry into a residence. Additionally, he was charged with endangering the welfare of a child after he pushed a stroller that had a child in it toward officers in an attempt to run and evade police.

Avalon Police officers were called to a house fire on Florence Avenue on Sept. 21. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.

On Sept. 22, a California Avenue resident reported that someone had broken into his car overnight.

Jason Senchisen, 34, of Avalon, was cited for public drunkenness on Sept. 25.
