“Dumpster Day”

Emsworth and Kilbuck Township will team up to hold a “Dumpster Day” for residents who would like to rid their properties of hard-to-dispose-of items.

At the Oct. 10 Emsworth Council meeting, Mayor AmySue Lillie said that the borough was approached by Kilbuck Township to host a “Dumpster Day.” Similar to the one hosted by Avalon and Bellevue, citizens will be able to dispose of trash that otherwise cannot be taken in weekly garbage collection. Big brush and building materials will be accepted, however, regular trash and electronics will be prohibited.

The dumpster is expected to cost $500. Students who assist with the Dumpster Day can fulfill their community service requirements. Dumpster Day will be held on Nov.3.
